EXTREME, MORE EXTREME, TIBHAR EVOLUTION MX-P 50
To all offensive forces out there, attention! The time has come, and we are very happy to announce to you that there is a new version within the Evolution MX-P series, which is called Evolution MX-P 50. After much research and developing, the German company Tibhar, based in 1979 in Saarbrücken (Saarland, Germany), was able to top its predecessor model, the MX-P.
This is especially true for the improved offensive dynamics of the new MXP-50. But prior to having a closer look at its properties, let us briefly tell you something about the Evolution (MX-P) rubbers in general.
Maybe you already know that the whole Evolution rubber series from Tibhar meets the highest requirements table tennis players have. The letter “P”, as in MX-P rubbers, corresponds to maximum power and dynamics, but also to much spin. The Tibhar Evolution MX rubbers are generally hard, fast, and spinny. The MX-P in particular is (now more precisely: was) the fastest TT rubber, with the most penetrating power. But, as already mentioned, the MX-P 50 tops all of this!
TIBHAR EVOLUTION MXP 50 – PROPERTIES & BEHAVIOR
After this introduction we now want to provide detailed information regarding the new Tibhar Evolution MX-P-50. The superficial surface (topsheet) of the MX-P is identical to its predecessor, the MX-P. Differences are, however, in the sponge hardness which increased from 47.5° in the MX-P to 50° in the new MX-P 50 (therefore, the number 50 was used). Of course, the latter also contains the power sponge! Another difference is the structure of the pores within the sponge. Whilst the predecessor table tennis rubber is open-pored, the successor TT rubber (also called MX-P50 Hard or MX-P50 Hard Version) has now fine pores.
Primarily due to both these differences (harder and finer sponge), the new Tibhar Evolution MXP 50 exhibits a considerably changed behavior, as well as gaming properties (in a positive sense of course!). First, the MX-P 50 is very fast (speed: 130), very spinny (120), but still offers a relatively fair control (75, manufacturer specifications). The catapult effect may indeed be classified as extreme. The sponge thicknesses available are 2.1 and 2.2 mm. All these properties contribute to the increased forward motion the Evolution MX-P 50 has, combined with a clearly intensified directness of this TT rubber.
It can be summarized that the new Tibhar Evolution MXP 50 is a table tennis rubber which unites extreme speed & spin, power, catapult, and directness. These properties makes this rubber only suitable for uncompromising attackers, who use every chance to dominate the game and score using extremely offensive strokes. Hence, TT-SHOP.COM recommends the MX-P 50 for advanced and/or professional players only (despite the relatively fair control). In order to successfully control this brutal weapon, you really need a high training workload, and an advanced playing level at least. Note that this TT rubber does (or only to a small extent) forgive errors. The only appropriate gaming style suitable for this rubber is, hence, “offensive plus” (OFF+). To all of you who think this suits me well, we only can say: Go ahead! The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
TIBHAR EVOLUTION (MXP 50) – RUBBER TECHNOLOGIES
In terms of table tennis goods, Tibhar has a long lasting tradition, and experience. This is reflected in the overall high quality of their products. Two technologies implemented in all of the Evolution table tennis rubbers considerably contribute to this.
One technology is called Red Power Sponge (RPS). This technology is the basis for the high performance level Tibhar Evolution rubbers exhibit. Due to the Red Power Sponge technology, the sponges increase the ball-contact-time (e.g. when doing aggressive topspin openers), the sensation & precision, the power, and the catapult effect whilst attacking.
The second technology also contributing to the high performance of all Tibhar Evolution TT rubbers is called Pro Tension technology. Similarly, this technology improves sensation and precision, increases the ball contact time, and provides much power as well as a large catapult effect when doing attacks.
