The Tibhar Samsonov Carbon SGS is the fastest and stiffest table tennis blade which is equipped with the SGS technology. The result of this technology is an incredibly high basic speed, which still allows a relatively controllable passive game. The weight of this blade is approx. 90 g, and its structure is identical to the Tibhar IV-S. In order to obtain more power than the IV-S, the Samsonov Carbon SGS exhibits not only five Ayous layers , but also an additional reinforcement by two Carbon layers.
But one thing after another! Ayous, also called Abachi, is a tree which is common in most tropical areas around the world. The tree reaches a height of approx. 50 m, with a trunk diameter of up to 1.5 m. When using Ayous as table tennis ply, it is characterized by its lightness (density only 350 kg/m3), moderate strength (Young´s modulus: 6,000 N/mm2), and moderate hardness (Janka: 430). Ayous is well-known for its great gaming characteristics: For example, a good and dangerous counter behavior (because the bounce of the ball is quite flat).
The two Carbon layers are located directly below the outer plies which causes a highly efficient development of speed. This, in turn, opens new possibilities in terms of very powerful attacks, with much pressure. This makes it easier for you to impose your game on your opponent, and to dictate the game by yourself.
The SGS system is also used in the Samsonov Carbon SGS. This innovation makes it possible to be able to master this TT blade during the passive game, even without a super-average training workload.
The advantage of this is that the impulse, which is created at ball contact, will be optimally transferred toward the handle, wrist, and hand. This results in an excellent ball feedback, and yet after a short period of time, an improved feeling (even when doing slow balls!). Other features of this is that you can better adjust to enemy serves, and more easily play a variable as well as safe return game.
Of course, also the Tibhar Samsonov Carbon SGS (similarly to other Off+ blades) requires a regular training, and a certain skill level in order to be able to master this blade, and to successfully take part in competitions. As already mentioned, the SGS system significantly supports you with this issue. The result is a clear improvement of playing passive balls with more control and feeling.
